After many searches on google, yahoo, ask, and altavista, I came across avs forums. If you are at all interested in home theater, this is the place to go. The information there is as comprehensive as you will find anywhere. Within a couple of hours I had decided that the NEC LT-150 was probably the machine for me. When we were finally ready to order, buy.com whom we were going to purchase from had sold out. After a frantic search I found that

If you’ve spent any time on the avs forums you know that many people are sold on this machine. We love it and managed to get one for about $2100 right before they all but disappeared. The color, depth and clarity are good right out of the box but with the info found in the LT-150 index and some great posts by Grant Smyth, Tom LaStrange, and Li On, it really is a fantastic bargain.
After having used this thing for 2 months now I am extremely pleased with my choice. The picture is gorgeous. Great colors, deep blacks, ability to easily change to 16:9 Cinema mode and project one big-ass picture. We can easily control the lighting in the room so the 800 lums has not been an issue. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is noisy.
